Haterius

also: Q. Haterius

Roman senator and orator (c. 65 BC – AD 26), celebrated in the Augustan and Tiberian age for an impetuous, ungovernable fluency; Augustus is reported to have said he 'needed a brake.' Seneca cites his headlong delivery as the opposite of the measured speech proper to a sound man.
