Stoic philosopher of the 3rd century BC, pupil of Zeno of Citium, known for a rigorist position that collapsed philosophy into ethics and denied the value of the 'indifferents'. Cited by Seneca in Letter 36 for preferring an austere young man to a crowd-pleasing one.
