Seneca's elder brother, born Marcus Annaeus Novatus and adopted by the orator Junius Gallio; proconsul of Achaea (c. AD 51-52), where he dismissed the case brought against the apostle Paul at Corinth (Acts 18). The dedicatee of On the Happy Life.
